Everything you might want to know before your first class.

What's your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are handled by you through our booking system. Please give a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellation, anything less means the slot is lost. Life happens, so I'll be as flexible as I can where possible, but please be mindful that this is a very small business with only three beds. Full details on our Terms & Conditions can be found here.
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates uses a specialised bed with springs, straps and a sliding carriage to add controlled resistance to your movement. It builds strength, mobility and flexibility through slow and precise movement.
Do I need any experience?
Not at all. Everything is explained from the very beginning — how to use the bed, how to move, and why. We move slow and controlled, so it's beginner-friendly and never rushed. Equally, if you are experienced, I will adapt the exercises and springs to suit your ability.
What should I wear and bring?
Fitted activewear you can move in — leggings and a T-shirt are ideal, nothing too baggy. We wear Pilates grip socks; don't stress if you don't have these at first as I keep spares, but you'll be expected to wear them if you come regularly for health and safety. Bring your valuables into the studio with you.
When should I arrive, and where do I go?
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your class. If you're early or the previous class has run over, the front door will be open, come in and take a seat in the hallway and I'll be with you as soon as possible. Please leave your shoes in the hallway, as we're in our socks and like to keep the studio free from outside dust and dirt.
Where can I park?
There's free parking on the opposite side of the road (please double-check the signage to be sure). The studio side of the road is permit holders only.
Will I lose weight?
Pilates isn't really about the number on the scale, it's about changing your shape, building a strong core, and moving better. Most clients find they feel leaner, stronger and more confident in how they carry themselves.
Do you have any allergy considerations?
We have a cat — she's never allowed in the studio, but please let me know in advance if you have an allergy or if it's an issue for you, and I'll do what I can to help.
How is the studio kept clean?
The studio and beds are deep cleaned, hoovered and mopped at the end of every day. I also ask that you give your bed a quick wipe down after your session so it's ready for the next person — cleaning materials are provided.
What if my health changes?
Please let me know class by class if anything changes with your health or your PAR-Q form, or anything else health-wise you think is important. It helps me keep your sessions safe and effective.
